For us, a circle is a place to discover who we are and who we can become through experience. Being a part of a TPW Circle is an expanding experience that draws upon the wisdom, experience, commitment, courage, and truth of each woman in it. The circle experience can have a radically positive effect on our relationships outside the circle, because it provides a model, a place to practice, until it is who you are and what you expect from others in your life. In this way, it can lead you to change. As we begin to change, that change spreads. It's like throwing pebbles in a pond; each one has an impact and an effect, with concentric circles of change rippling out and affecting others. It is our hope and intention that each woman in a TPW Circle, who is changed by that circle, will take the experience and change the world.

Talk Story' is one of the experiences of Hawaii.  Talking story is sharing stories, histories, ideas, and opinions and it can happen anywhere - the grocery store, the beach, the mailbox. You learn about the other person, their culture, traditions, and about life. Great wisdom is shared during talk story. In Hawaii, taking time for talk story is just a normal part of life.

For The Peaceful Woman, talking story is not the same as telling a story.  When you tell a story, the drama is included.  Test it out - go a day Talking Story instead of telling stories. See how you feel!
